4 months post 35 radiotherapy 2 chemo tonsil cancer

12 weeks is still early. Are you doing your swallow exercises? They really do help 

I had an ulcer all along my tongue for months. 

I must say I do forget them must keep them up thanks for nudge

Takes some time for things to settle ....six months post Chemoradio I still had pain in my tongue and throat....Difflam spray helped.....20 months now and still the occasional niggle....we took a battering in that area.

You should know that treatment failure this early is very rare. I know scans cause anxiety but try to chill. 

Thank-you Peter just thought I would be further on really helps having support in here love my family but they dont understand I can't eat not I don't want to

This is the challenge I set my friends who thought I should be eating. Two cream crackers at once… all of them, not just a bite. Eat that without a drink. 

It's hard for others to understand what we are going through...I would have loved to eat all the lovely things that others were enjoying but it just was not possible ...takes time for things to improve...many months since finishing Chemoradio and I have my taste and appetite back to around 90%....Chicken Jalfrezi full meal tonight....first time for a medium curry in 20 months....another little step forward.
