I have not posted the for a couple of months and would like to thank all the people who gave me support through my treatment from my diagnosis to finishing treatment seven weeks ago. When I was diagnosed with cancer (HPV base of tongue) it was terrifying and lonely .Getting Advice and support from this group made the journey much more bearable and less lonely. I am seven weeks finished radiotherapy and chemotherapy and now eating well and drinking well without the peg. Water now tastes like water not something out of a ditch. Eating sandwiches,chips,pizza and soft boiled vegetables. I will progress to salad and more chewy food when I receive my new teeth only give of my own left now. Again a big thank you for all your help New and lost.

Well done and thank you so much for coming back to tell us how well you are doing. Sandwiches? I am impressed. I remember a thread some years back about when could any of us manage a sandwich. If I recall it was much later for me.I must find it.
