Pain under left rib

Hello

My mum still has a peg but she is trying to eat a little bit, too.She has pain under her left rib a month now.The pain comes and goes and can be sharp.Doctors don't know what is it.Did anybody had similar pain ?She had an ompresole tablets but the tablets didn't help and made the pain worse.

    Thank you for response.She had scan but she will have MRI on Wen.
    I wonder she has pain because of normal food and she is "eating "through peg too.

    Hopefully the scan will be able to put her mind at rest.
