Hi,
Just back from ENT and scan results.Hotspot picked up at side/back of tongue. .Has been sore for about a week.Being booked in for biopsy next week if they can get appointment with pre-assessment if not following week. She says it could just be inflammation/debris/ulceration but can't say for sure yet.Hazel you did warn me ! Have others had hotspots on here too and how did it go ?
Thanks,
Turi
Try not to panic. They are really common because we are scanned too early according to my oncologist. Good that they are sampling it rather than waiting to rescan in three months time.

I was sore but thats all. I was warned I would be as they were sampling an area that had been irradiated. It wasn’t bad at all.
