Hi all
I saw my ongolist today, he said that the bleeding & clots i had last weekend can happen after radiotherapy. He was hoping the therapy had 'cacooned' the tumour aka 'Ripley' but obviously not and it threw a hissy fit with the bleeding and clots.
He also hoped that i may be able to have some chemo to help with my pain, but again because of of Ripley's hissy fit i can't have that now. He also said that my only other alternative was to have immunotherapy, but he thinks the side effects for me would out weigh the benefits with my type of cancer and health. Or just meds to help boost me up and keep me going.
I was told in the begining that all i could have was two weeks of radiotherapy and didn't expect to be offered any other treatments so i have gone with the meds. I don't see the point of the immunotherapy if it's not going to help any and just end up with feeling bad with the side effects.
So it's steriods, some meds to help prevent any further bleeding and palliative care from my local Weldmar hospice, and my NG will be replaced in a couple of weeks or so with a PEG.
He said he couldn't tell me how long i've got, and that it was a hard thing for them to try to predict anyway. I said that even if he could i don't think i want to know.
I'm not going to say anymore otherwise i'm going to start blubbering, and that won't do on a georgus sunny tuesday evening !!
Sooo.... i'm just going to dose myself up and get on with things.

Oh Cat. Hugs.
Maggie’s says not to lose the joy of living in the fear of dying. I’ve thought lots about this and my conclusion is that it must be so so hard to do that. I hope you can have some peace with this and find that joy. More hugs.
