Had follow up appointment with consultant this morning and I could not have received better news. The surgery to remove the cancer from my tongue has gone to plan and sentinel lymph node biopsieshave come back clear (what a relief). I would like to thank all of the people who have provided me with their comments on my various posts following my initial diagnosis at the start of the year.
Best wishes to everyone and thanks again

I will definitely attend my review appointments. I can't understand why people would not when they have they have been given a second chance . Thanks once again.
Planning a few trips away and I will definitely attend my reviewn apppointments. Thanks once again.
Hi Mick
That is such good news and definitely enjoy your life to the full. A second chance is something not to be taken for granted. When I thanked my surgeon for all the care he has given me over the years he said I don’t know why people thank me when I have to cut away so much to help them recover. I am sure that he has heard it before but I said, it is not about the operation as much as a second chance to live your life. There are so many experiences and events that I would not have had without his intervention. I have been seeing my surgeon since 2013 and we have really got to know each other over that time. We have a good joke about things and he is so supportive. I have nothing but gratitude towards him.
Have some wonderful holidays and store up lots of memories, I know I have.
