Feel a bit like crying had neck and nasal biopsy almost 3 weeks ago due to get results tommorow at 4pm and recieved a text saying due to an emergency my appointment has been changed to the 9th Nov 3 more weeks, I'm assuming its good news and not cancer but I still have a swollen neck lump swollen lymph nodes(evidenced on scan and ultra sound sore tongue and inner ear pain 24/7 so what the heckles wrong with me ( I'm not expecting answers here its rhetorical)
What do I do now. Wait another 3 weeks? Start a refferal for a 2nd opinion even though I haven't got a first , make a complaint or just ignore it all and hope it all goes away
Thanks for listening
I would contact the department and ask if they would forward the results to your GP ( I’m sure they do anyway but there’s no harm in moving things along) then make an appointment there. Ask your GP to get the report too. At least you’ll have the biopsy results and you can take it from there.

Even more confused now. I Did what you advised Dani and rang consultants secretary but she is on holiday until Monday.
I decide oh well it can't be too worrying if they are happy to let me wait that long and only have a telephone consultation.
Then I recieved a call half an hour ago asking me to attend a face to face at hospital on Saturday morning with a consultant I have never heard of at 10.40 so I'm a little worried again . All will be revealed Saturday I suppose not long to wait now but am I ready for it?

Ok. Take a step back. You didn’t speak to her because she’s in holiday.
You had an appointment but they cancelled it due to an emergency
They managed to find a space for you after all it’s just with a different consultant. It happens. So fingers crossed.

Hi Dani
Got my results no cancer in the nasal cavity biopsy shows just inflammation, neck biopsy was inconclusive because not enough tissue was taken with fine needle aspiration so they want a core needle biopsy not sure what the difference is but will look it up. Consultant thinks it's unlikely to be cancer as it starts in the nose first and hasn't but has to rule it out. To say I'm relieved is an understatement. I can't thank everyone enough for there support in this journey you have all been so kind and helpful.
What wonderful news. I’m so glad we have all been a help and I’m even more glad to say goodbye. Really really pleased. Xxx

Hi everyone me again,
Thankyou so much for all your lovely words.
I intend to take things in my life differently thanks to the scare and all of you. I quit smoking on the 12 Sept went cold turkey lol feeling less breathless and sleeping better. I bought myself a cheap tracker watch and have been slowly increasing my steps I'm only up to a mile a day at the moment but keeping at it. Reduced my Alcohol intake , sadly craving sugar more .
I'm hoping that the next test will be the same result and its all reactive to inflammation . . I will let you know how I get on . I hope you all keep well as can be . Enjoy .
