Hi,
Just thought I'd keep you all to date. Today my consultant phoned me up to tell me that at this stage I'm cancer free. I have an appointment next week with him and my medical team to go through a plan for recovery from treatment. Its bloody awesome to get that news though. Still have to have scans and checks over the next 5 years but for me it's all heading in the right direction.
I can now concentrate on recovery from the treatment with a big weight lifted from my shoulders.
Fighter of cancer T4N2M0 oropharyngeal SCC(grade 3, P16 positive) 2 cycles of chemotherapy and 30 radiotherapy sessions.
Wonderful news. It's great getting that PET clear. Gives you proper hope. Great that you are getting a proper plan for recovery. I just got reviews, at increasing intervals. Got three left and I'm done
So happy for you and you gave me hope! I have T4n3m0 — been told that it’s not so good prognosis. I’m in 9 weeks after treatment today.
Going to see go again as I have so discharge from my ear - been told it’s infection, but I been told nothing bad last time and turned out that I have cancer.
I rung my ent as well , have appointment next week…
