Morning all , thought I would let you know that following my 16 week (ish) PET/CT scan , my cancer has responded well to treatment and has gone . I’m currently doing great post recovery , I’m eating well again and even enjoying a beer a couple of times a week !. Started a phased return to work a month ago which has been great , 3 days a week with a gradual increase in hours with constant monitoring by our Occupational Health providers.
Tiredness is getting better gradually with the only two things which are slightly bothering me are the dreaded dry mouth and I sometimes get a sudden ‘jolt’ of pins and needles down my back into my arms and legs when I’ve been sat a while and decide to move??? Probably not treatment related I know lol .
I know I’ve said it before but the advice and pointers I received before treatment began from you good folk on here was invaluable.
Early days still I know but it’s another rung on the ladder out of the crap we found ourselves falling in to .
regards all
Gary
Hi Gary. Great news gives hope to those in treatment and tigers to come. Yes dry mouth does improve I’m 4 years almost and now can go a few hours without constantly drinking I still chew gum but not as often as the early days. I did find auricular acupuncture helped kick start my saliva. The pins snd needles could be treatment related neural periphery. They do go eventually but mention at your next review.

Well done Gary. You sound well on top of things.

Have a think if this pain is precipitated by your bending your neck forward.
Google Lhermitte's. It sounds very much like it. I had that and it’s gradually faded away to a negligible fizz feeling
It is due to the RT.
