I had my first surgery last Tuesday, I am doing pretty good. Had neck dissection to remove 3 nodes and tie off the inner part of the carotid artery. I am no longer lots of painkillers, I only needed paracetamol. Still swollen and a bit itchy. But generally pleased with how I am coping. I know I am going to have worse to come which make me a bit nervous but that was made worse with the affects of the general anesthetic knocking me for six, takes days to get over that properly. I have my nest surgery to remove the tumour by robot on Wednesday. Wish me luck!
