Hi I , I have temp , I have been see by consultant on Wednesday, mucosiist is really baaaad . Have antibiotics. But my blood was bad as well. thinking about trip to hospital but is Saturday night…
and most important I have last 5 RT treatment , so scared to miss that . I do not ring line because I know what they will say ….
Hi Barbara. I think you should ring if you are running an infection. Do you have a number to ring. People on chemotherapy have one. Do it
They won't stop your radiotherapy ....that carries on regardless.
Hope you get some help tonight.

Barbara I was told to to ring no matter what time if I was running a temperature. You can’t be too careful. Even if you’re in hospital you will still be taken to radiotherapy don’t worry about that.

I will but what if they keep me in hospital ,
monday is my last week of rt , chemo probably will stop
I’ve known people in for weeks they’ve still bern taken ti radiotherapy. It’s not many of us that complete the full course of chemotherapy. My oncologist said at least 60 % of his patients don’t complete the full course. I had 2 of a planned 3 sessions. Didn’t effect my results radiotherapy is the main course of treatment chemo is a side show.

Yes some people are in for issues with feeding or maybe neutropenia they still have to have radiotherapy once it’s started. Both Dani and I know quite a few over the years. Even Dani was in hospital towards the end of her treatment. While I was waiting for my treatment porters would bring people down for radiotherapy.
Of course the hospital would need to be the one where your treatment is being delivered.i i say go to a cottage hospital or one where radiotherapy isn’t gjven
i was at a main cancer centre.

How are things Barbara?
Hazel is right, dropping one chemo session is neither here nor there
I was in hospital at the end of week three to get rehydrated and have an NG tube put in. I got wheeled down to RT by a porter who wouldn't stop talking!
