P16 is a protein that shows up on a special stain. It’s a surrogate marker for HPV. HPV cancers are very sensitive to radiotherapy so it means that it’s curable and less likely to recur.

Aly You should ask your oncologist what bearing your path results have. Head and neck cancer has a high cure rate whatever the cause. 
I would just concentrate on getting better and look forward to living a good long life. 

Always in the back of your mind though , I will give my head a shake it was only that I read something on here earlier about HPV positive xx
