Hi , I’m sitting at hospital waiting for admission.
it is good I think…
later on I have appointment with my consultant and I will find out about my PET scan, had it on last Thursday. recently I have tingling in my head and I am scared that my cancer spreads….
Dear Basbas,
i know how are you feeling as was there!
fear is the worst enemy …
I remember i was “feeling” all my “cancer” everywhere (i have base tongue cancer spread on lymph node, started on Monday my treatment 30RT plus 2 chemo), and feeling how my lymph node will just spread it all.
just stay focus to hear what your specialist will say, as thats the best way to find out how to treat it.
please, let us know as its great to talk about your feeling and i am sure in this group is always someone who has experience same.
Take care, sending you hugs and just think positive.
bless you,
love from Marta x
Good luck Barbara. Let us know how you get on

Base of tongue cancer. T2N0M0 6 weeks Radiotherapy finished January 2019
Hi basbas, I had a RIG which is similar to a PEG, they can be painful at first, but the pain will ease off after a few days and it will settle down. It is really worth having, I was 100% relient on mine after 3 weeks of RT, for about 10 weeks. Keep taking the meds it will get better. All the best.
Regards Ray.
Good news about the PET. Another mountain climbed. Can't help with the PEG personally but I think most people say around a week

HibI didn’t have a peg but from others it’s around a week just keep taking pain killers. One day at a time you’ll get there. Even if lymph nodes were showing cells it’s nothing to fear i had 7;affected ones and 4 years later iim still here happily living my life..
