I've only gone and bagged an invite on Nana Akau's show 'Difficult Conversations' on GB News this saturday at 5PM to talk about my journey with cancer. Dan Wotton's production team is also interested

Fair play to you, how does one watch GB News? Hopefully can access online as I've not been TV connected for a couple of years now.
I've done an interview on regional BBC radio and a few social media things for Macmillan, very rewarding and great to get the message out, enjoy it!
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll be watching.

Just watched it on catch up. Nice to put a face to the name, Lee.
What a story about your GP access . Beggars belief.
Im amazed you have so few remaining side effects at five weeks! And you did the whole interview without a drink. Well done. I hope your recovery continues in similar vein.
Fingers crossed for your PET/CT.

Hi Lee just caught up on catch up. You’re looking remarkably well for 5 weeks. Don’t stress about the scan mine was 18 weeks after treatment the longer they leave it the less chance of hot spots. Current thinking is 12 weeks is too early. jJust a heads up on that one.

My mouth is dry but its better than spitting up saliva and mucas like I was every 5 minutes 3 weeks ago. Im still not eating much and still in pain which is controlled by pain killers.
If anyone hasn't got catchup you can also watch it YouTube https://youtu.be/pAuNta27u8w
I see that the reporter asked you to keep in touch with how you’re doing and invited you back. That’s a great opportunity to bang home that this disease is largely preventable with vaccination.
The HPV vaccination has been around for some years for girls and is now available for boys too. The incidence of cervical cancer in women in their twenties, often the worst and most aggressive kind, has plummeted
