I just wanted to update that following my PET-CT my consultant has given me the all clear! There is absolutely no sign of cancer or swellings and as far as he's concerned I am cured.
It's been a pig of a journey and my throat still has some healing to do but I'm done!
Well done. So pleased for you. They will keep a close eye on you for two years which is a great reassurance

Phew, that's a lot. We generally get seen every six weeks for a year, then every three months for two then every six to take us up to the five years.

Yes because I’m shared between Maxfac and Oncology I have two Maxfac appointments and two oncology. I shall miss them both, strangely. We always have a good craic. I’d rather not have met them at all to be truthful though.
