Difflam, Gelclair, Caphosol, Antacid with Oxetecaine morphine. Not sure anything made much difference. RT ulcers are something else. They aren’t burns. The damage is not superficial but deep where new skin is made. They heal in their own time.
I never used it but coconut oil is supposed to be soothing.
Then there is propolis mouthwash which might even precent them forming.
How are you feeling in yourself? Is next week your last week?

Hi Aly. Yep gelclair diluted but to be honest there’s not a lot you can do. As Dani say r/t ulcers aren’t like usual ones they go deep into our tissue. When you think r/t can’t differentiate between cancer tumour snd surrounding healthy tissue it’s not surprising. You’ll get there we all do. Be careful with new foods as you may irritate them. Well done on still eating as well.

Hi Hazel , I’ve ordered Some Aloclair too now , it has good reviews might as well give it a go , the trouble I’m having in eating soup is those ensure shakes , it takes me about an hour to drink one then I’m full up so I’m not eating much soup , I think I will swap it around , have soup first
xx
Hi can use aloclair now I buy iff Amazon to be honest I didn’t try it during treatment but I still get the odd food Ulcer even now so always have that and gelclair to hand. I was on 6 ensure a day after treatment I got rid if n g tube week 3 I was a case if pacing my self through the day. Even when I started eating I had 6 smaller meals spaced throughout the day as our tummy’s do shrink so easily get Overfaced. It doesn’t last forever but certainly those first 3 months was how I handled it.
Yes try soup first then leave a gap for an ensure.

I will find a way around it because I’ve always said , if the time comes when I can’t swallow painkillers , then I will use my tube , taking tablets is no problem at the moment so I’m keeping my fingers crossed xx
Good on you. Likewise week 3 I knew it was time for my n g tube to go Sheer will power power got me through that stage. I kept up with swallow exercises and my tablets I could get orally down. But I wouldn’t have taken it out if I couldn’t have swallowed them. Try to chill this weekend.
