Hi me again , spoke to the consultant today to discuss if I’m fit enough for chemo on Monday , because it affected me so badly last time & the effects lasted about 3 weeks ( still a bit deaf ) she said I won’t be needing it & a lot of people don’t have the last one , she said my radiotherapy was more important & she wants me to get through that , she asked how my pain was , I said I have no pain just a bit sore & dry , she looked shocked then I looked shocked haha , she said I’m doing very well as did the speech & language lady , I’m still waiting for something to crop up ! For the mean time I will carry on as I am , I just need to put on more calories xx
Hi Aly. I had a lot of double cream. It didn’t hurt my throat and it is full of calories. Hope this helps.
lizzie.
It’s so strange looking for calorific foods I will get there Lizzie xx
I’m with Lizzie. Double cream with just about everything! When I could only eat Ready Brek I made it with half Fortisip and half full cream milk with extra double cream for good measure. They had to loosen my mask around week 5 as I had put weight on. That said, I never had a PEG.
Hi Aly yes it’s common not to have all chemo I only had 2 of planned 3 radiotherapy is the main event so to speak. At least 2/3 drs don’t have all the chemo.
well done on no pain double cream e if you’re having weetabix etc try double cream and a fortisip or ensure plus full fat milk
