Delighted to share that I got the green light this morning.

My PET CT scan confirmed that I responded excellently to my tongue cancer treatment. No sign of the disease.

Was diagnosed in December with base of the tongue cancer plus secondary cancer in two lymph nodes. Underwent 30 sessions of radiotherapy and 2 sessions of chemotherapy.

It's been a tough journey, with lots of side effects, weight loss, still have cancer fatigue and a dry mouth.

Lots of tears of joy today. It’s been emotional.

My boss took me out for a celebratory pint of Guinness at lunchtime.

Marvellous and well done. It's something else when you get that clear PET. A well earned pint! My taste was all over the place and has taken a long time to get reasonable but I never lost the taste for a pint of ale.....
