Hi everyone
I replied to a lady called Bev last week, her son is undergoing treatment for Cheek cancer, and was unsure whether to have RT or not. I can't find the thread now, but wanted to know if Bev's son is ok. Bev is in a very similar situation to me so I know how she feels.
My son is going back into hospital (yet again) next Wednesday for further surgery. As some of you may know he has a fistula which has caused infections. We're not sure what the surgery will entail, but think the fistula is part of a sinus which goes up towards his ear.
If Bev sees this, please get in touch, I'd like to know how your son is getting on.
Thanks
Janet - (Macfarlane)

Sorry to hear about your son. He has had a rough time of it. I do hope the surgery is successful this time.
Janet. Why don’t you send Bev a friend request.

Thank you Peter, it's been a very rocky road. He was diagnosed in April last year, and surgery in June. He's been back in hospital several times since then, let's hope this will be the last time !!
Thanks for your support

Thank you so much Linda, it's been such a tough journey for him. He's now self isolating until he goes into hospital Wednesday morning. We will speak to him later today on Alexa Echo, at least we will see him. We haven't been able to visit him for over a week as both myself and my husband tested positive, so obviously couldn't risk going anywhere near him. I really don't know how we would have got through all this without the help and support of all the lovely people on here. It means so much to us all to have the lifeline where I can chat to people.
I'll update after my son has had the surgery on Wednesday.
Thanks again, for your support, take care and stay safe.
Janet
