Hi Everyone
I got my 3 month scan results today. The tumour had gone but there was an small area of concern. The consultant scoped it and used his camera and was satisfied it was inflammation in the area treated. I will have a further scan in 8 weeks. The consultant did not seem concerned and it took such a weight of my shoulders. Carran
That’s great news
Was that a PET/CT?
I had a hotspot in my PET. Consultant scoped and couldn’t see anything either. Called in a mate from next operating theatre who couldn’t see anything either but he biopsied it anyway. Nothing there. A lot of clinicians consider 12 weeks too early and scan at 16.

Yep. PET scan. Don’t worry about the next scan. Some places rescan an interval later some biopsy straightaway. Inflammation tends to persist. You’ll be fine.
