I've still got lymphoedema so have lumps and puffiness in lip, cheek, chin, top of neck but have recently found a lump a lot lower down on neck, just above collar bone about 7 cm off centre, same side as where I had jaw cancer.
Looking on Google (I know, I souldn't) I'm hoping it is just more lymphoedema, lipoma or similar but also think it could be liposarcoma as it says previous radiotherapy treatment is a main cause.
I spoke to my CNS team on Tuesday, emailed them a photo and description and have an appointment with Consultant next Friday
If it is worse case scenario, what treatment do you get if you have already had your 33 sessions of radiotherapy?
Hi Penrod. Don’t go down the rabbit hole just yet. Keep off google let the experts look at you. There’s possibly surgery or immunotherapy as ways forwards. Yes radiotherapy as we know in same area is usually a one time shot.
try to keep busy snd please keep us in loop when you can.

Not too bad
My consultant had a good look and feel around this morning and doesn't think it's anything to worry about.
He's made an appointment for am MRI scan though so hopefully that will confirm things.
Just hope it isn't on 25th
Hi That’s reassuring that the consultant thinks it’s nothing g ti worry about. Go ahead enjoy Christmas and in a way an extra pressie a scan in the new year to reassure you.

Quick update on this
I ended up seeing my GP who sent me for chest xrays and Ultrasound scans
Saw my consultant who referred me for MRI scan
Had them all over a couple of week span over Christmas
I didn't hear back about xray, but consultant has confirmed the MRI scan showed nothing to worry about
I've still got the lump, don't really know what it is, but not worried about it now, I will ask more next time I see consultant in April.
