Completed 1st week of radio and 1st dose cisplatin feel really nauseous and headache back of neck face oedematus is this normal???
Hi wopsan
if you’re feeling sick with the chemo despite antiemetic then do ask for a different one. They tend to give out the cheapest first. Some of the other drugs may work better
I had RT for a base of tongue cancer and my submandibular glands swelled up so I looked like a hamster
Do tell your radiographers though as it will make your mask pretty tight .

Hi Wopsan If could be your anti sickness medication needs changing unfortunately we are started on the cheapest available. I was luck I had no nausea at all. But I do know if a few who had you to 4 different meds.
we all react slightly differently just tick the days off. Remember as your team as of you don’t tell them how you feel they can’t help. Keep an eye on pain next eeek make sure you’ve pain medication as it’s usually Friday nights when things happen and you can’t get hold if anyone !
