I had a consultation with my oncologist this morning and all appears well. I am booked to have a PET/CT scan in 6/7 weeks time and if there are any remaining cancer indications a follow-up scan will be done near the year end. On the other hand, if the first Scan is clear, that’s the best news.
On inspecting my oral cavity, he did say that there was still a fair bit of healing to come. He suggested Gelclair and for me to request this from my GP. I have seen this mentioned on here before and I just wondered if this is applied along with Difflam and Caphosol mouthwashes or as a substitute?

Hi,
Glad to hear the healing is coming along. It is reassuring when they tell you all looks well. I found the gelclair useful, especially when I had a mouth full of ulcers. Tended to use diflam before eating, caphosol after, then gelclair a bit after that. Also one before bed.
Hoping all good on your scan.
Take care, Ronnie
