Hi One and All
Just an Update on how Hubby is progressing with his Immunotherapy - which is administered every three weeks, after a round of blood, urine, doctor exam and consultant agreeing.
Up until the last 4 weeks he was fine, only side effect was the usual and expected tiredness. Unfortunatley he has developed a cough and that was steadily getting worse to the point where he couldnt speak without coughing. Concern by all (not least me) but it now is beginning to recede. Culprit - it appears to be the mouth spray. He had started directing it to the back of the throat as it was very dry. Upon checking the small print guess what it says on the patient leaflet? Yup - doing this can cause irritation and a cough. So be warned folks, always read the leaflet.
Two of the metastized tumours in his lung have shrunk, but one had grown on last scan. However this has happened before so we are hopeful that the third tumour is just having a spell of pseudo-swelling before shrinking. His last scan also showed changes in the side of the neck that was operated on last year, but again at that point it couldn't be determined if it was suspicious or not.
Next scan middle of this month (every 6 weeks). Fingers crossed that the results are good and we don't have to make any major decisions about his treatment going forward.
We know that his treatment it is just prolonging his time on this earth and we are grateful for that time. So many people dont have that warning or the opportunity to truly sort out or do the things you always thought you had the time to do.
I will continue to swing by and check on folks progress, although I often dont leave comments you are all in my thoughts.
Take care over the coming weeks, the virus has NOT gone away.
