So although he was expecting it....it was still a shock when his beard starting falling out rapidly yesterday
Again mixed opinions...he has been told by consultant that it won't grow back...but his chemo nurse said it would (although it obvs has come out due to the RT not the chemo) so his not holding onto much hope
I was told to shave my beard before starting radiotherapy. That was at the start of January. I still have no hair on part of my neck and round the bottom right edge of the jaw. It felt weird not having a beard and my wife, who'd never seen me without one, disliked it. I grew the beard back in July, and the bald area doesn't really show, but I need to keep my neck and most of the underside of the jaw shaved otherwise it looks odd having no hair on one side.
