I had my tonsils removed, base of tongue, and biopsies from my nasal cavity and oesophagus, on the 22nd of July
The last two weeks have been difficult with eating, but now I'm off most of my pain meds, and eating normally.
I am seeing my consultant tomorrow to sign my consent forms for my next operation, which I think will be next week.
The result of the biopsies were there was no cancer there, and as suspected the tumour was found near where my left tonsil had been.
I was told it was between 15 and 18 mm, and at stage one, my consultant is hopefully that he can remove it within good margins, and if so will not need radio or chemotherapy.
At the same time I am having a neck dissection to remove the affected lymph node.
My Consultant fingers crossed is looking at a cure for me.
I could not have got through this without the advice and support from everyone on here, I am truly thankful for finding this forum.
Hopefully the second operation won't be as painful :)
