I am back after 2 year remission had base of tounge HPV cancer. Now biopsy on right armpit nodes dose anyone know if this is a common site for hpv tounge cancer to return. Last time I  had treatment  they had to take suspicious lymph nodes from that armpit they thought it was a lymphoma but it turned out negative and they couldn't find a explanation  why they were swollen kind of hoping that's the case this time.

  • Hi. Sorry to read you're having problems. Axillary lymph node spread is possible but is very rare, rarer than spread to lungs and liver and that is already rare in itself. It's more likely with advanced primary disease and if I recall you had a small primary in your tonsil? Fingers crossed your nodes are clear.
