Any advice on how to manage dry mouth. I am 3 year after tongue cancer surgery and radiotherapy.
My mouth has become especially dry and hard to manage in the hear.
Any advice would be welcome
Hi. Can you chew gum? It’s my absolute go to and works a treat.
At night I tend to sleep with my mouth open so I have a squirt of oralieve dry mouth get, pop a xylimelt in and tape my mouth. That gives me a largely unbroken night’s sleep

I'm also 3 years out after Chemoradio for head and neck cancer...dry mouth is still a problem, probably our 'new normal', some days are worse than others, chewing gum containing xylitol helps, cheap from Aldi/Lidl, Biotene gel, plenty of hydration, Coconut water is an excellent, naturally hydrating choice for dry mouth...

Hi dani,
I have trouble chewing gum as I had belly's palsy on my good side in the Nov after my operation and it hasn't gone back to normal. Plus all my bottom left teeth were removed.
I'll try your tip at night though thank you
Mandy
Can you try Salivix pastilles? They stimulate the saliva too. I used to use them and got them on prescription from my GP. You can get them OTC. I have loads of boxes if you’d like me to send you one to try?
