Now into10 weeks of recovery after 30 sessions of radiotherapy and 6 sessions of chemo (cisplatin) .I see a different consultant tomorrow to start the process of finding out if the treatment worked, during the 10 weeks i have developed lymphodema under my chin and look like i have a treble chin .I have an appointment to see a specialist nurse in April about it .In February i managed my first cup of tea and i am now eating fairly well but often need water to help it go down there are still certain foods i wont attempt to eat but i have come on leaps and bounds over the last month in general i feel much better and have stopped using my RIG although still having a couple of fortisips per day to make sure im getting all the nutrients i need also going to the loo a lot better .If you had told me 2 months ago that i would be at this stage i would not have believed it .It goes to show how well the body and mind heals with time and patience and sticking to a routine .Anyway thanks for being there over the last few months and wish me luck for tomorrow .Kind Regards Graham .
Well done Graham.
You’ll be getting an appointment for your PET or MRI ( I had both)
I guess you’ve been moved onto ENT and away from oncology.
Keep going. You are doing brilliantly.
