I am 10yrs on from my diagnosis of mouth cancer. I had the whole lot. Chemo, radiotherapy and a neck dissection. I have recently developed a head tilt which is giving me all sorts of symptoms. I was wondering if anyone else has or is experiencing this?

  • Hi Cass. I would get back to the hospital that treated you. I was told when I was discharged from routine review that if I was worried about anything I suspected could be due to the cancer or treatment I should get in touch with the department direct.
It may not be anything to do with it but best looked at.
    What has your GP suggested?

  • I have been back to the hospital and had the dreaded camera via my nose and my consultant said it looked like what he expected, bearing in mind I had radiotherapy and I'm waiting for a scan just to be on the safe side.

  • Fingers crossed. There are all sorts of vascular repercussions after RT. For myself I have narrowed carotid arteries which so far have not caused any symptoms but it does put me at a higher risk of TIA and stroke. GP has referred me for a carotid Doppler, though he did take some convincing that he should.

  • It's the gift that keeps giving! That doesn't sound good. I am thinking what's next Thinking i could write a long list of symptoms which i call my legacy. What stage was your cancer?
