Hi. I found a lump in March last year and was finally diagnosed last September. Previously I had breast cancer in 2012. I was told my cancers weren’t connected as this one was HPV related. I was assured my treatment would be curative. I won’t lie, it’s been brutal, but I finally thought I was coming out of it. I had my regularly two monthly f/u last week and mentioned my neck felt different again. They couldn’t see anything suspicious but sent me for an u/s, which I had on Monday. They took 3 biopsies due to seeing ‘something’ and I’m completely flummoxed and very doom laden. No idea when I’ll get the results due to the upcoming strikes.
if the cancer has come back, is it treatable or is this it?
Hi. If the cancer has returned surgery and immunotherapy are both options but don’t cross that bridge yet, lymphodema and scarring are much more likely.
No idea when I’ll get the results due to the upcoming strikes.
Strikes are with Resident doctors, pathology labs remain unaffected so you should get results in 2/3 weeks.
