Tonsil - 2 biopsies and bloods taken on 23rd September - MRI and CT this Thursday to confirm what and when...
Our Macmillan nurse has already been so helpful
The journey begins... and my heart is already broken for him.
So good to know you're all here - and at the same time - sad that you are.

  • Hello and welcome to our group.  I had my cancer treatment in 2013 and I often felt that the journey was tougher for my husband than it was for me.  So I'm sending you a hug.  It's good to hear your Macmillan nurse is being very helpful, don't forget they are there for both of you.  We're all here for you too.  xx

  • Hi HoneyBee ….. hold onto the fact that tonsil cancer is mostly caused by infection with HPV and has a cure rate in excess of 90%

The treatment is a challenge but stay with us here and all the folk here will look after you both.

  • Hard on both the patients and their partners/carers, tough times ahead but necessary. We've all been there in some form or other.

Ask anything at anytime always someone about to support and advise.

  • Hi HoneyBee, welcome to the group from me. Sorry you have had to join us, now that you have, we all understand how you both feel, and are here to help as much as we can. Bear in mind head and neck cancers respond well to the treatment, that gives very high cure rates. Any questions just ask.

    Ray.

  • Wishing your husband and you all the very best. He's lucky to have your support. Together you can get through this.
