Sorry me again, we have an appointment with a GP on Monday as my mum’s pain after radiotherapy is not improving and really getting her down.
Currently she’s on liquid paracetamol (500mg) Oramorph (5ml as and when) Pregablin and she has the mouth washes (can’t remember the name)
Does anyone have experience with other meds that we can research or suggest?
I had long acting morphine twice a day on top of oramorph and paracetamol. Some people have patches which slow release either Fentanyl or Buprenorphine

Hi Kate,
The prescribed Oromorph I was on for pain management made me feel sick, and the liquid parcetamol was hard to take and i didnt feel much benifit, so I tried soluable paracetamol from the chemists and used it regularly morning, afternoon and evening and this helped me get me through the regular pain of trying to eat.
Hope this is useful.

Slow release patches are good for keeping up a background level of pain relief then using paracetamol and/or an opioid pain killer. I was on Oxycodone at quite high doses post treatment for a few weeks. Coming off opioids can be a real problem so watch that.
