Hi, I am a head & neck cancer survivor with severe dry mouth. I am having a colonoscopy soon. They tell me no drinking liquids after 3am. My procedure is at 7am. I need to have water to refresh my mouth every so often. How can I get thru this? Anyone been there, done this?
Hi Pagerino. I had a colonoscopy a couple of years ago and managed the dry mouth issue by just swishing the water around in my mouth and spitting it out. I then used a moisturising spray(Biotene) to help keep my mouth feeling comfortable. I then repeated as often as required. It seemed to work O.K. for me.
