12 weeks post treatment scan

How common is it that the 3 month scan done after treatment wd have to be repeated? I hear some of the time this happens, but is it really common?  I don’t want to wait weeks for the results just to hear that the scan has to be repeated due to the pet scan lighting up. 5the waiting is sickening.  My husbands scan is Wednesday , just 2 days shy of the 3 month wait.

    Not common...less than 10%

    There are few people I can recall and I would hazard the figure here is much smaller than 10%

    Yes it sucks. I was pretty p****d off I can tell you but you just have a cry, kick a few walls and get on with it. What choice is there? Luckily I didn't have to wait for a re-scan. I had a biopsy instead

    Just have a little faith. the odds are that your husband will be fine. The primary they couldn't find because it was too small has been destroyed by the RT and metastasis its really not common. We've talked about this already.

    i I can offer is try not to worry. My pet cancan was week 18 I knew that at start  of treatment so I just got on with living you have no influence over the results . We’re all with you in the virtual world. 

    the results will need to be discussed usually at mdt mine was 10 days after I had scan
