My husband had treatment for scc p16 T4aN2cM0 bot at the end of sept 2022 . He had developed a small lesion on his neck he feels it’s where his lymphnode biopsy was . Within 11 weeks I had managed to convince ent to excise it . The result is scc stage 1 so hopefully it’s gone .
My question is has anyone else ever had skin cancer on the radiated skin post treatment . He is not a sun worshiper and always wears sun protection . His mum died last month with malignant melanoma so he is a little on edge .
Ent say that there is no research to suggest he needs any follow-up pet scans / mri , he had an mri 3 months post chemo/radiotherapy dec 2022
I haven’t but if the lesion was excised with good margins then I would relax
