Hello I am nearly 2 years post treatment for Nasopharyngeal Cancer and doing well despite dry mouth and trismus.
I have tinnitus also and hearing loss better niw I have hearing aids.
booked a carribean cruise but anxious about flight regarding my ears any advice please
Hi Wopsan
Well done on your two years and for booking a great adventure.
I have tinnitus and flying has no impact. I think the only problem is if you have any Eustachian tube problems and you can't equalise pressure easily. I think maybe this might be one to get info from a professional. Macmillan has an Ask a Nurse section that might help. Just click on the link I've made
Enjoy your cruise
Hi Wopsan, great you are doing so well. Like Dani as said just double check, with your GP or the ask a nurse link. I flew to the USA less than a year post treatment, I was a bit worried due to having tinnitus, however it wasn't a problem, just make sure you have plenty of water for your dry mouth. Have a great cruise, it's hard not to really.
Ray.
Hi Wopsan. 2 years where did that time go. I fly regularly to Spain no issues but I’ve no tinnitus either. . But best to check have a fab time.
