I have tongue cancer t4N1 and had radical radiotherapy for 6 weeks which finished end of October. I am still being fed through tube as food tastes disgusting. Has anyone had the same and did the taste return. I can swallow but with difficulty as saliva totally gone. Any advice would help, Best wishes

Hi Martie yes my taste was all over the place and for a long time food was just fuel. I made myself eat it though it was horrible. I remember sitting at the breakfast table looking at the garden birds while I forced Reddy Brek down with tears pouring down my face. Just a question of trying different things. Cold food doesn’t taste as much hot food so maybe start there?
Try Salivix pastilles ( on prescription) to get saliva going along with chewing gum to stimulate what is left.
Also try a tiny sip of a warm drink to act as proxy saliva rather than trying to chase food down with a big drink.
