Hi

Just discovered the LIBBY online library service ....had I known about it during the intense ChemoRadio treatment and subsequent recovery I would have certainly been using the service daily...free to use and easy to register.

  • Agree!  You can borrow audiobooks, and magazines as well as books to read online, which is great when you're resting a lot during treatment

  • Yes my library also uses Libby.  I use a lot of audiobooks, but it has a full catalog of books and magazines

  • Readly is also quite useful.  We subscribe as my wife can read her magazines on line rather than buying then over the counter (far cheaper to subscribe).  You can also have 6 devices shared which makes it even more cost effective.  They have a 2 month free trial running at the moment so that could see you through a big chunk of treatment before the subs kick in.

  • Hi Peter

We have Libby available through our local library in Australia too. I had never heard of it until recently. I used Audible while I was in hospital. You can get a free trial. I found I used to nod off to sleep while listening to it so had to keep on rewinding back so I didn't lose the thread of the story.

Had to give up on it in the end as it kept on having that effect on me. A healthier and cheaper option than sleeping pills.
