Hi there fellow guys and gals!

First off, Happy New Year to you all and I hope you all managed a good Christmas.

Me in a nutshell,,,

Roughly 6months  since I had a tube stuffed up my nose and down my throat to confirm what was wrong with my niggly, not feeling right throat!

Base of tongue cancer

Right, let’s send you for a ton of scans and X-rays,
Let’s take both those tonsils out,
Let’s stick a feeding tube in you for good measure!
Then, let’s put you through 30 rounds of radiation therapy and 2 lots of chemo.

You’ll lose weight, lose your sense of taste, lose a lot of hair, stay in hospital for days and days, and even have a blood transfusion and you feel the worst you could possibly even imagine!

Im still relying on my Peg and having overnight feeds by pump,,, struggling with food big time!

But I made it through all that,,,I’m still making my way through all that!!!

I should get some sort of results in the next month or so to see if all that agony was worth it!!

So that is me!

    Hi LuuLuu

T2N1M0 tonsil cancer.... diagnosed Feb 2023 finished CRT June

PEG is a nuisance, especially at night ....but it does the job of keeping us stable.

I have now started enjoying some foods, tea and choccy biscuits are a wee treat.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, treatment is a tough gig ...good luck.

Hope 2024 is kind to you

    Peter
