Hiya all and firstly may I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has given me advice so far with my questions, honestly really means alot.

OK, saying that here is my daft question. I start chemotherapy and radiotherapy on Monday 13th Nov. I've had my mapping scan and mask made yet can I get my hair cut before I start as I've already had mask made? I have quite short hair anyway yet just wanted to get a tidy up?

Sorry I know its daft yet didn't want to go ahead and then find out on Monday I've messed the mask thing up!

Yes. Get it cut. You’ll be much more comfortable. Good luck.
I had an NG tube placed in week 4. They managed to squash it under the mask no problem.

Hi yes get it cut you’ll be fine. I took gad n g tube squashed in between face and mask week 4.

it wont make a difference for the mask unless you have big afro hair.

One piece of advice though; RT will make your hair lower back fall (from a straight line close to the top of your ears) so if you want to cover that it is a good idea to keep your hair long in the back.
