Can anyone tell me how soon does your treatment  start after getting your diagnosis, I've been told 6 weeks before I start?..is this about right.

Worried incase it spreads, I have a tumour cancer on my vocal chords..

Am getting paranoid, have sent email to my cancer nurse asking why the ling wait, just want to crack on...

  • Yes 6 weeks is good. There are things to be done. RT mask and planning and visit to hospital dentist.
Your oncologist prescribes the dose then radiologists and AI have to make the plan. Then you have to factor in Linac capacity. They will be working as fast as they can
