I would like some advice please. I have been diagnosed with 2 types of throat cancer at a level of T4 NI MO. have not yet started treatment (4-6 weeks)

I have a cronic sore throat can anyone advise on something to calm it down? thank you

  • Hi. You could try Difflam. You can buy it from chemists.

  • Hi John. Welcome to our community but sorry to see you here.
A lot if us are prescribed Difflam for throat pain. You could try that.
So many of us have complications from reflux which is common. I found Gaviscon Advance a great help.
Pain from cancer is difficult to treat with over the counter medication. Once diagnosed you should have a nominated Clinical Nurse Specialist well versed in treating cancer patients. Contact them for something stronger. I was on prescription strength cocodomol then morphine.
There’s no need to suffer while you wait.
Stick around. There’s lots of help here.
