  • Hi. I’m 18 months post treatment for tonsil & lymph node hpv16

  • Yeah have to have two back teeth out next week they have fitted my mask which is so weird but no surgery to remove lump

  • Hi. So I had bilateral tonsillectomy, PEG fitted then 6 weeks of chemoradiation. 6 x chemo & 30 x radio. I had a lump on right side of neck  which was the lymph node. This disappeared by the end of treatment. .

  • I think it is a battle worth fighting for did you have a bad mouth and thoart you don’t mind talking about it x

Hi again. I had six weeks radiotherapy no surgery. Four years plus clear and living well

If by lump you mean the lymph node in your neck then surgery to remove that includes excising lots of others at the same time. This is called a neck dissection and it’s really good you are avoiding it. The surgery is invasive and has long term side effects. Rest assured the radiotherapy will deal with it.
    Are you having chemotherapy?

  • Yes chemo and radiotherapy 6 weeks starts 30/10/23 having feed tube fitted couple of days before treatment

  • I’ve sent you a friend request

  • That’s gold standard treatment. It’s not easy but doable. Where are you being treated?
