Hi my husband has just been diagnosed with throat cancer.

Still stunned really and have our first appointment on Wed  at mount vernon.

So much info to take in all at once

Just wanted to say hi

  • Hi Blossam. Sorry to see you here but you’re in the right place for help and advice

    Hope the appointment goes smoothly

Take a notebook or record everything on your phone.
Have your list of questions handy because you’ll not hear stuff or forget to ask.
Make sure you understand everything and get your assigned clinical nurses contact details.
Throat cancer is eminently curable so hold onto that

  • Hi Blossam. Just wanted to say welcome to the club none of us wanted to join. Your head will be in a whirl, don’t leave the consultant until you’re  clear in your head with everything you’ve been told. Often your husbands assigned cancer nurse will be in attendance ,they are a useful source of information remember ti get their phone number and email.
As Dani say  throat cancer is eminently  curable ,please refrain from Dr Google  you’ll scare yourself silly ,you’ve found us between us we usually can help.

    Ask any questions here.
