Hello.
My husband had stage three mouth cancer and had a major operation last summer then 33 sessions of radiotherapy which finished mid December.
PET scan in February came back all clear of cancer.
since he has had a few problems with a blocked gland which is a big lump that comes up whilst eating but goes down after.
He is on constant medication for oral thrush.
yeatrrday he found another lump in his neck which hasn’t gone down. Can cancer come back this quickly? Waiting on reply from hospital but it’s never quick.
thank you c
Sorry to hear you are both having to put up with worrying lumps.
You have to keep pushing for that review. Are you in direct touch with his CNS? They should get things moving g for you.
What is he getting for thrush? Fluconazole is the only thing that works for a lot of us.

Try to relax about it. I know it’s hard but the chances are not high, especially if he was HPV positive

Hi Cala Unfortunately the hospital has to go through all the procedures before committing itself. I have a lump /spot on my lung and consultant said it was non specific in other words they dont know . I also have something on my liver which they think might be an infection. This is after a CT scan but I am now waiting on my MRI results tomorrow . Our minds tend to usually think the worse and usually we are wrong in my experience. All the Best Regards Minmax
Hi Min max goid luck for tomorrow you’ve certainly had your fair share of ailments hugs Hazel xf

Thanks Hazel This being sick malarkey is very time consuming. I dont know if I have time for more cancer treatment as I am waiting on my heart ablation , then I have to have teeth put back in that they removed them for radio therapy lol
Hi Dani and All your best wishes paid off , I got the all clear on my lung nodule or lump as non specific which I think means they dont know and no liver cancer just a large collect of blood which they put down to trauma . So i am back in 6/8 weeks time for chest CT scan and a liver MRI scan. Happy Days so far Thank God
