Anyone try a product called "MooGoo" for neck after radiation?

I know I will get prescriptions and advice about what products to use on my neck for the burns but I wondered if anyone had tried this product, and if so was it helpful? I was given a gift to use for the post radiation skin effects. As I'm a senior, my skin is not what it used to be (haha)

  • Sorry, not me. Run anything you are thinking of using while you are having radiation or shortly after past your radiographers. Afterwards anything goes really. I use Aveeno skin moisturiser and factor 50 sunscreen on my neck

  • Hi Kathy, I have tried MooGoo as a general moisture cream and I found it a bit greasy. I haven’t had radiotherapy, it was my husband who had it, but I personally wouldn’t use MooGoo after the treatment sessions. We put E45 on initially, but then the consultant prescribed some aquamax cream which we used religiously after treatment every day, several times a day, but washed off before the next treatment. Towards the end we were given Flamazine which was amazing, to use where the skin was burned and red, and it healed it within a few days.

  • Hi Kathy Aloe vera gel is very good for after each RT session, only after not before. SnowWhite has said how good Flamazine is, she is right it works wonders, my neck was in quite a state, it cleared it up within days.
