Hi,quick introduction I am aged 71 and been diagnosed with HPV+ cancer in my right tonsil and lymph node in my neck.I go to St.James Leeds on Tuesday for mask fitting and 6 weeks radiotherapy.Have read several helpful blogs and have positive outlook.Quick question how long after mask fitting does treatment usually start.
Hi WOLFIE 74, welcome to the group. I don't really think there is a set time from mask fitting until treatment starts, once the mask is done, I think it's all ready for treatment to start, as long as all tests and scans have been done. All the best with your treatment, you will be in good hands. If you have any question or worries, just ask on here, we are all here to help.
Regards Ray.

Hi
it used to be a few days for the computer planning but AI does this quicker. Waiting depends on capacity, ie Linac availability. I had to wait 4 weeks. Some folk wait days.
