Acid Reflux

Morning everyone.

A few days ago I suddenly started to have coughing fits then gagging and ultimately being sick. GP gave me tablets for acid reflux, has anyone else suffered similar? Were you also given medication? and if so how long did it last or get under control?

Hi Red. I’ve been on PPIs intermittently since radiotherapy. It’s really common.

Hi Red yes I’m on omaprozole intermittently for acid reflux never had it prior to treatment so it’s not unusual.

Hi. I take 1 Esomeprazole daily since treatment.

Hi Red1, yes I get reflux often, I'm never far away from Gaviscon Advance, it works well for me.

Using Gaviscon along with the prescribed medication. How long did it take for you to see improvements

The best Gaviscon to take I’ve found us Gaviscon Advance which is thicker than the big standard.
