Hiya
So i am 6 months post treatment for T2N0M0 cancer on my tongue. Surgery done in May 2022, following completion of chemoradio in Aug 22. Had my 3 months all clear scan in Nov 22. Only a week after my 3rd consultant review, yesterday I noticed a small ulcer on the same side of my tongue where I was treated. Very freaked out if it is a recurrence this quick. Have an appointment on friday with consultant. Lets see what he says but very very freaked out and worried sick.
Ulcers are really really common after RT. I used to get a lot. Are you being a little too adventurous with your food? Try stopping the Duraphat for a few days and use an SLS free toothpaste like Oranurse. Chlorhexidine gel is good for ulcers like this.
Hi I still get ulcers in radiotherapy site evrn now. Do you have gelclair or yiu csn buy aloclair online. Try not to freak out please.

Yes they can look alarmingly large. There’s a ring of them at the back of your tongue. Glad the news was good
